Sounds Good, But What about You Guys at DLA?

Thanks for asking, here at DLA most of the work we get is through referral and inbound, but we have many examples internally and with our customers, where we have accelerated pipe and got higher in organizations through using social, rather than cold calling.

Any long term reader of mine will know that I say "If you're not getting inbound on your Social, you're not doing it right".

Pitching Vs Selling

Was recently reading an article by an "old school" sales person, there seemed to be this misconception that social selling was some sort of "hippy" method. The way this old school salesperson explained social selling was that Social Sellers set up their LinkedIn profiles and then sat cross legged hoping somebody will find them. Hopefully having watched Simona's and Gabe's video, you will see great sales people, not just sitting there, but pro-actively using social as a method to drive sales. Let's not forget, if you are truly can make a transformative change to an organisation, then there is nothing wrong you telling them. But you do this through "selling" and not "pitching".
