On May 16, the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton will be hosting their 5th annual fundraiser at the Shaw Conference Centre. This year, the keynote speaker is Tarana Burke, the creator of the #metoo campaign and one of the "Silence Breakers" honoured with Time Magazine's person of the Year Award.

Training Sessions
On February 7, the United Way & SAIF Society  is hosting a 'Cut It Out' training session. The Cut It Out provides the education, awareness, and skills that permits salon professionals to safely refer clients to community resources.

On February 21, the Pride Centre of Edmonton is hosting a 'Understanding LGBTQ+ Experiences of Family Violence'. This training will explore gender expression and identity and provide practical tools to address barriers faced by LGBTQ+ clients.

The City of Edmonton is hosting Making Connections - Moving Forward Registered Support Group once a week from January 31 - April 18 from 18:30 - 20:30. This 11 session group is for women who have experienced intimate partner control or abuse.
