The UK's Largest German Bier Festival Is Coming To Ally Pally This Easter

This is a sponsored article on behalf of Alexandra Palace.

What do you get when you cross a giant bier hall, a party atmosphere, 4,000 festivalgoers, and the finest biers and bratwurst this side of Stuttgart?

Only the UK's largest German Bier Festival, Springfest — and it's coming to Alexandra Palace this Easter.

Now, we can think of lots of fun things to have happened in Ally Pally's iconic Great Hall, but this one is certainly up there with the best. For one-night-only, it's transforming into a Bierkeller of epic proportions. Think rows and rows of keller-style benches, bier by the barrel-load, and fantastic live entertainment to boot...

Pinch us. We're dreaming.

Your Deutsch drinking will be accompanied by an authentic German soundtrack, courtesy of the live Oompah band. Don't worry if that's not your jam — Club De Fromage's DJs will be laying down the groove too, and an ABBA tribute act will have everyone singing along (what can we say... we're Brits).

Of course, there's more to a German bier hall than just the, erm, bier. There's a mouthwatering array of food on offer, including traditional German favourites like bratwurst and pretzels. Ally Pally's Village Green features in the adjacent West Hall too, with even more live entertainment and some of London's best street food: Bodean's BBQ and woodfired pizza to name but two.

What's that we hear you cry? It's not October yet? Astute followers of German culture will note that the festival falls outside of the usual Autumn months, but that's because Alexandra Palace likes to do things the Stuttgart way, where Springfest has been celebrated for generations. Besides, it's not like we need an excuse for an early knees-up, thank-you-very-much.

Tickets to Springfest are on sale now, and standard tickets cost just £17 + booking fee. The event takes place at Alexandra Palace on Good Friday, 30 March 2018.
