Veronica and Dustin’s Free Spirited California Beach Wedding all Planned in a Month. By Gumgirl

Today we have a wedding full of bohemain goodness as Veronica and Dustin, this truly free-spirited couple, share with us their gorgeous dream like California wedding. Veronica and Dustin were married on 8th August 2018 at Moonstone Beach in Trinidad, California with the reception at Alegria in Trinidad, California. ‘It’s our favourite beach and it’s very close to our house, we had 100 guests and it took about a month to plan’ The wedding starts with a relaxed beach ceremony, after which the couple ride bare back across the sand, like something from a film. The rest of the day is filled with fun, laughter, dancing and so many gorgeous memories. This totally chilled out couple have created a whimsical wedding day all in a month! Thanks to Gumgirl for the images.

No budget but it ended up coming under $10,000

Where did you splurge and where did you save?
We saved on the cake (a friend made the cake), flowers (my friend owns a flower farm) and photography (my aunt and uncle were our photographers). We splurged on the band. My aunt performed for free but we had to pay the band.

How did you choose your photographer?
My aunt and uncle photographed the wedding

The dress
ADA’s Bridal. I got it used, online for $45.00

The suit and bridesmaids
The groom and groomsmen wore khaki pants with suspenders and white shirts with bow ties. We got everything at Marshalls for under $500 dollars. The bridesmaids wore their own dresses

Theme or colour scheme
No color scheme, we had all kinds fo flowers fro our decoration.

Food
The menu was Paleo inspired, with roasted pig.

Wedding cake
The cake and cupcakes were made by a friend. The cake was sweetened with honey.

Entertainment
My aunt is Lavay Smith, so naturally she performed at our wedding

Who supplied the stationery?
No stationary. We used a postcard with a portrait of us to save the date.

Personal touches
Veronica decorated the horses manes with flowers. Our friends made all the floral arrangements.

Special moments
1# marrying the man of my dreams 2# having all our lovely family and friends there to share such a beautiful day with us.  3#sitting around a mountain of flowers making flowers crowns with my beautiful sisters.   4# after the ceremony, galloping our horses across the beach and into the ocean.  5# riding our horses hand in hand to the reception at Algeria ranch.  6# our first dance together! It was so romantic and magical  #7 jumping in the bouncy house, in our bridal duds at 1AM, when all the guest were gone

Advice for other couples
Keep it simple, so you can enjoy the day with the people you love.

Biggest surprise
It was so easy and completely stress free
