1 killed in single-vehicle crash in Scurry County

SCURRY COUNTY, TX (KCBD) - One person has been killed in a one-vehicle crash on SH 208, three miles south of Snyder in Scurry County.
Texas DPS says the accident happened around 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
DPS says 29-year-old Kyle Matthew Sockwell of Hermleigh was traveling south on SH 208 in a 1994 Chevrolet pickup when the vehicle veered into the northbound lane and into the east side barrow ditch, crashing into a creek bed.
DPS says this is a preliminary report and this crash is still under investigation.
