Victims in fatal seven-vehicle wreck over the weekend identified

The victims in the fatal accident on Saturday, August 22nd involving a car and several motorcycles have been identified.

The accident happened at about 6:38 pm, according to the report from Oklahoma Highway Patrol. It occurred about 1400 feet west of Slick Road in Kellyville, OK.

One of the motorcyclists, 59-year-old Gary South of Tulsa, died at the scene. Another, 38-year-old Jarrod Callahan of Sapulpa, was admitted to St. John’s in Tulsa in critical condition with head, trunk, arm and leg injuries.

The only non-motorcycle vehicle involved in the accident was a 2005 Honda Accord, driven by 29-year-old Trenton Hall of Tulsa. He was transported by Creek County EMS to Saint John Hospital in Tulsa in critical condition with head, trunk, arm and leg injuries. There were no passengers in his vehicle.

There were four other motorcycles involved in the accident. Steven Pitts, 51, of Tulsa, was transported to Saint John’s in stable condition with leg injuries. Shane Steffen, 42, of Tulsa, was treated and released with arm and leg injuries. Stanford Hurt, 73, of Sapulpa, was not injured. Anthony Adkins, 47, of Jay, refused treatment at the scene for trunk internal injuries.

OHP says the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
