Next time you want to return something to Amazon, you don’t necessarily have to pack everything up again and head to the post office. Starting this month, Amazon is allowing items to be returned via the mail as well as in person at any Kohl’s location, with the exception of stores in Anchorage, Alaska.

Returning an item at Kohl’s isn’t quite as easy as just walking in with it. In order to return an item at the store, you’ll first need to begin your return online with Amazon’s online return center. There you’ll tell Amazon which Kohl’s you plan to drop the item off at.

Once you’re done setting up the return online, Amazon will give you a QR code to use at the store.

After that, you’ll just bring the item you’d like to return to a Kohl’s store and show the QR code to an associate to complete your return.

Unlike mailing things back, items can be returned to Kohl’s on their own, with no shipping box required (although you certainly can bring that box with you if you want). That means if you recycled the box before you decided to return the item you don’t have to dig up another shipping box or figure out how to safely package something in order to return it.

Kohl’s will handle the packing and shipping for any items returned to stores. In-person returns are also free, although that’s not accounting for any impulse buys you might make while you’re in Kohl’s dropping off that return.
