Just a few Boarding House shots to show you! We’re tiling like crazy, and I guess it’s going to be impossible for me to have plain floors in the bathrooms. Ha. This is one of the rooms I’m most excited about: charcoal, red, crystal light fixtures…a little bit like something you’d see in Gunsmoke. It could be gaudy, it could be fun, it could be both!

I love the bold timelessness of these black and white squares. This is The Emerald Room, and it will have green accents.

This is the green tile that is meant to go on the walls in the bathroom…

But this “undeniably GREEN” color is a little closer to what I was thinking. In person, the green tile above looked very dark, and I’m afraid it won’t be distinguishable enough from the black floor tiles and the black accents in the bathroom. If you have any idea where to find a brighter green (not lime green or olive green; just a good, vivid green) subway tile, lemme know!

This is the Drugstore/Apothecary/Pharmacy room! We were a little afraid the border combined with the hex tile would be a little too busy…but I really like it. We were sort of going for the time period of the building on this one.

Whereas THIS tile, in The Butterfly Room, has absolutely nothing to do with the time period of the building! Ha. But that’s okay with me.

Not tile, but wanted to show you how the walls in The Tack Room look with the first coat of stain. They still have more coats of stain and sheen coming, but I think it’s gonna look sharp…and absolutely NOTHING like the tack room on the ranch, which is an old rock barn with a rusty door and the smell of horse poop.

(We don’t have to keep things that accurate.)

Here’s a peek a the logo. We need to change the date to 2018, but it’s pretty much good to go.

Oh! And I’m sorry for the title of this post. But I had to do it. I woke up thinking about it and had to get it out of my soul.
