Each one of us is different, but the average person will get about 200 colds in his or her lifetime. If you do the math, that means more than two colds each year for someone who lives until age 75. That’s not even factoring in bouts with influenza and gastroenteritis. Many of these illnesses will crop up during the winter season when people huddle indoors and share all sorts of germs.
