Bodyguard viewers thought they'd said goodbye to Keeley Hawes's Julia Montague after she was killed off in an explosion during series 1.

Well, some thought they had anyway.

But it turns out Julia is very much still alive... at least according to the BBC drama's Comic Relief skit.

Airing on Friday night (March 15), the charity spoof saw Richard Madden's David Budd handed a new assignment to protect the Prime Minister, hilariously played by Joanna Lumley.

But it wasn't long before Keeley's character returned from the dead and appeared in the boot of their car, as she then quickly pushed out Joanna and sat in the back seat.

Keeley then asked Richard the question on many fans' lips: "Do you know if I'm in series 2?"

"You are dead..." he bluntly replied.

"Am I?" she cryptically asked.

If this doesn't spark more speculation, we don't know what will.

Bodyguard co-stars Gina McKee (aka CTU boss Anne Sampson) and Vincent Franklin (Minister of State Mike Travis) also appeared in the skit, along with comedian Sanjeev Bhaskar.

Line of Duty star Adrian Dunbar also made a hilarious appearance, pulling David's car over while on the lookout for "bent coppers".

Bodyguard broke records last year when it became the most-watched drama in the UK ever, and beat Killing Eve to become top of the streamers on BBC iPlayer.

This year's Red Nose Day also brought us Jennifer Saunders' take on Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again and yet another singing performance from Ed Balls.
