Are you impacted by the government changes to the controlled act of psychotherapy? If so, a webinar hosted by Canadian Mental Health Association, Ontario, Addictions and Mental Health Ontario and Children’s Mental Health Ontario may be useful.
This webinar will be led by Deborah Adams, Registrar for the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and will help you understand the strict definitions about the controlled act of psychotherapy. The webinar will also introduce you to a suite of CRPO resources developed to help practitioners understand the controlled act and its application.
The webinar will be held on Wednesday, December 5th, 2018, from noon to 1 pm. Register here.
On December 30, 2017, the government proclaimed into force the controlled act of psychotherapy, along with a two-year transition period (ending Dec. 31, 2019) to allow individuals to either become registered with one of the six appropriate colleges or stop practicing the controlled act of psychotherapy.
At the same time as its application, the government directed the CRPO to work on more clearly defining the controlled act of psychotherapy and help practitioners understanding the changes. This webinar is part of that educational outreach.
