Maybe you didn’t need another excuse to spend countless hours and dollars in Target’s home section — but here you go! The company is introducing a new “eclectic” home decor brand, called Opalhouse, which features 1,300 pieces of bedding, bath, décor, tabletop, and furniture.
Target’s design team sourced inspiration from far-flung cities and markets, such as Aix-en-Provence and Mallorca, and Opalhouse will feature more of the team’s original artwork than previous Target brands.
For example, flowers that the team spotted near a market in Paris and a bird that flitted by in Lisbon inspired the delightful wallpaper below.
We can also expect pressed glass, jewel-tone silks, and velvet-covered pieces from Opalhouse — most of which will be offered for under $30.
The new brand is the more maximalist, glitzy answer to Target’s other home brands — Threshold, Project 62, and Hearth & Hand with Magnolia — which tend to skew modern and country.
The goods will be for sale in stores and online on April 8.
