One Dead in Fuel Tanker Rollover on Route 24 in Fall River

FALL RIVER — Massachusetts State Police, HazMat, and other emergency responders are on the scene of a fatal crash involving a fuel tanker on Route 24 northbound in Fall River.

State Police say the crash took place at around 5:15 a.m. near the Airport Road exit on Rt. 24, involving a tractor-trailer that was hauling fuel and a passenger vehicle. Police say the truck overturned, spilling fuel onto the highway.

State Police have closed down all northbound and southbound lanes as HazMat crews work to remove any environmental hazards.
