Virginia man indicted on sex trafficking, drug charges

A Virginia man faces six charges in connection with human trafficking and providing drugs that led to someone's death.

Kendall Demarko Wysinger, 41, of Manassas, was indicted by the U.S. District Court in Harrisonburg on one count of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking, one count of interstate transportation for prostitution, one count of possession with the intent to distribute fentanyl which caused the death of another, one count of possession with the intent to distribute fentanyl which caused the serious bodily injury of another, one count of evidence tampering, and one count of witness tampering.

Wysinger was arrested along with eight other people in a prostitution sting at an Ocean City hotel in 2016.

The investigation was carried out by the FBI's I-81 Human Trafficking Task Force (I-81 HTTF), the DEA, and the Northwest Virginia Regional Drug and Gang Task Force.

The I-81 HTTF is a partnership between federal and local law enforcement that focuses in on human trafficking along the I-81 corridor in the northern Shenandoah Valley.

Assistant United States Attorney Erin M. Kulpa will prosecute Wysinger's case for the United States.
