LCR-Reader-MP: Ultimate Debugging Tool Sale; Celebrates 6 Months and New Distributors

Siborg Systems Inc. is celebrating 6 months of LCR-Reader-MP being available and new world distributors with a week long sale. Starting March 1st, Siborg is offering a discount on the new circuit debugging tool.

LCR-Reader-MP was introduced in August 2017 and has been widely accepted as an essential tool for testing and troubleshooting PCBs with SMT. The device combines a set of gold-plated tweezers and a lightweight multimeter with a basic accuracy of 0.1%. When a component is held between the tweezer probes, the LCRR-MP will determine the component type and best test parameters before measuring and instantly displaying the test results on the built in display.

The difference between LCR-Reader-MP, LCR-Reader and Smart Tweezers is the amount of features on MP, as well as its record high basic accuracy. The MP offers features such as Large Capacitance measuring, oscilloscope mode, continuity/short testing, LED/diode testing, pulse counting, signal generator, and more. The device also has an add 100 kHz test frequency; this frequency allows the device to test capacitance with 0.01 pF resolution and 1 nH resolution for Inductance. The MP also has a wider range of test frequencies, (50, 100, 120 Hz, 1, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 75 and 100 kHz.) The wider range of frequencies allows the device to measure large capacitances and super-caps to 680 mF. The device will automatically switch to 25 Hertz while in Large Cap mode for better accuracy.

One of the main features that was added to the LCR-Reader-MP was oscilloscope mode, which hasn't been on a tweezer-device since Smart Tweezers ST-1. This mode allows users to plot wave-forms on an analog graph. This mode, and the Signal Generator mode are exceptionally useful when using the Kelvin Probe Connector from Siborg. The Kelvin Probe Connector is a shielded 2-wire connection with 5 attachments that replaces one of the tweezer's probes and extends the reach of the device to be able to measure components larger than the tweezer probes would allow.
