SLP/SPED SIG hosted Lexia Learning at Norton Middle School
In February, SLP/SPED SIG welcomed Alison Mitchell, Lexia Learning’s Director of Assessment, as she discussed the critical role of academic language in elementary and secondary settings with a focus on how to translate research findings into practical assessment and meaningful instruction. She also highlighted how Lexia’s literacy programs–including the new Lexia PowerUp Literacy™ for non-proficient readers grades 6 and above–support academic language skill development.
