Roll Bakery sold its first franchise, and a Nappanee location was
opened. In 2013, the decision to continue with more franchises
was made. In November 2014, a third store was opened in
southwest Fort Wayne. A fourth location followed in Mishawaka
in May 2015.
Crawford brought valuable experience from the instore bakery
sector (along with his degrees in bakery science and management
from the American Institute of Baking) when he joined Rise'n Roll
Bakery as executive director in 2016.
Now the business is moving forward with a keen eye on placing
the customer first and producing creative products like their
Cinnamon Caramel Donut to meet the ever-growing demand of
the public for delicious donuts.

national brand. Donuts, pies, cookies and Butter Crunch are
signature items at Rise'n Roll Bakery.
Founded in 2001, by a young Amish couple, sold from their front
porch at the time, Rise'n Roll Bakery gained a reputation for
producing high quality, preservative free and amazingly delicious
products. In 2004, a small store front was established, and it
was clear that as word began to spread, this was a product that
was going to continue to grow in popularity. By 2008, they had
outgrown this smaller facility, and it was again time to move.

Nearly 200 Dawn customers participated in the National Donut
Month 2017 contest, marking a significant increase over the
previous year.
Dawn's 360° merchandising program allowed customers to
submit innovative donut concepts to www.nationaldonutmonth.
com for consumer voting for the chance to win the title of
"Official Donut of National Donut Day in 2018."
The top prize won by Rise'n Roll Bakery in Middlebury, included
$1,000 in free Dawn ingredients, a $500 check, a winner's
plaque and national publicity in Bake magazine.

In early 2009, the couple decided to sell their business, which
the new owners moved into a new facility. Then in 2012, Rise'n
