These 5 Apps make you 50 times more productive

Do you use your phone all the time? Do you have plenty of apps installed?

If you are like most normal people, the answer to both questions is yes. The problem is that a lot of people waste their time. Instead of doing something that can make them more successful and fulfilled, they spend their time on Facebook, Instagram and so on. At the right place and time, it is okay to use social media and play games. However, you can use your phone to be 50 times more productive and successful. I have spent the last two years using my phone all the time and have found 5 apps that changed my life in a better way. Not only do I feel way more productive, but also the biggest benefits are yet to show.

#1 Timesheet

Have you ever felt like you don’t spend enough time on your priorities? You want to focus on your work, studying, getting in shape or whatever. And time always seems insufficient. You feel like you spent more time relaxing than actually doing what you had to do. Let’s take the guesswork out of the game.

Timesheet will help you to change that. You can use it to track how much time you spent on each activity. Just create a project and measure it with a simple click of a button. In that way, you will have a 10 times better idea of how you divide your time. It is obvious that one has to spent the most time on his priorities. As a result of using Timesheet, I feel 10x more confident that I focus on the things that will actually change my life and help me achieve my dreams.

#2 HabitBull

Habits define you. The life you live is a result of the things that you do every day, not just once. All good and bad things in your life are a result of habits.

There is one serious problem with maintaining good habits. When you do something meaningful (like learning a language or exercising) the benefit is in the long term and your brain can’t really perceive it. You don’t lose 4 kilos after half an hour of exercise. But the drawback is immediately felt by the brain. You feel tired immediately, you feel bored by studying immediately. In contrast, when you perform a bad habit, the reward is instant and the negative effect is far away. For example, if I eat a doughnut I will always feel the incredible taste at the same time I bite. However, I will get fat only after eating doughnuts for months and months. This is the reason why most people fail to develop GOOD habits and without effort develop bad ones.

Is there a solution for this? Well, there is a pretty good one. Every time you perform a good habit, note it down somewhere (with a tick or sth) and you feel an emotional spike of achievement. It’s the same thing that happens when we play games. Each time you complete a mission (quest), you feel great.

HabitBull is a total game changer. It gives you the opportunity to track your habits with statistics and a ton of other cool features. This app makes developing good habits a piece of cake.

#3 Wunderlist

Nowadays we have so many tasks that it is impossible to remember all of them. It is okay to note them down on a sheet of paper but using a to-do app is way more practical. If you use your phone all the time why not use it for a good purpose? Just create a task (with or without a reminder) and mark it as completed when you finish it. The emotional spike of achievement mentioned above will also be there.

My number one choice for this purpose is Wunderlist. It is cloud-based, totally FREE and extremely simple to use. Five seconds are enough to understand how it works. I have been using it for the last 2 years and you can bet that I complete all of my tasks (okay, not all of them but 99%).

#4 AnkiDroid

Imagine the following situation. You spend a lot of time studying something and you know that you have to remember this information because it is really important. However, despite all of your efforts, you still forget what you learned in a few months. I suppose this has happened to everyone. So is there a way to REMEMBER everything you studied?

If there is one, it’s called Spaced Repetition. And it is explained really well in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVajQPuRmk8

AnkiDroid is an app that is totally FREE and helps you study using Spaced Repetition. Creating flashcards is a lot more efficient than traditional study methods. Personally, I have been using this app for a year now and it is extremely useful. What I like most about it is that it’s convenient and easy to use. Moreover, it is cloud based and you can use it on all devices.

#5 Blinkist

Books. Knowledge. The average CEO reads 60 books a year because they know it is the key to their success. Life is too short to learn everything by yourself and your own experience. Why not tap into the knowledge of the greatest minds? You might not be able to talk personally to Warren Buffet and Steve Jobs but you can read the books about them.

And you’re probably saying now “Well, I know but I don’t have so much time.” I also used to think like that until I found Blinkist. They put the world’s best nonfiction books in little packs you can read or hear in just 15 minutes. It worth mentioning that the most vital ideas from each book are included in the 15 min summaries so you won’t miss anything.

These apps have changed my life. I hope they can change yours too. Give them a try!
