Authorities recovered Woods' body the next day about a mile away with noticeable bruises on her body and arms as well as an abrasion on her left cheek.
An autopsy later revealed that her blood alcohol was 0.14 per cent and along with two types of medications, a motion sickness pill and pain killer.
Following his investigation, LA county coroner r Thomas Noguchi ruled her death an accident by drowning and hypothermia. No arrests were ever made in the case.
