Girl, 6, with one arm finally able to open her own Christmas presents thanks to 3D printed limb

A GIRL of six born with one arm was finally able to open her own Christmas presents thanks to a 3D printed limb.
Charlie Cousins lost her right limb in the womb due to a blood clot.
She had an NHS prosthetic but found it too “clunky”.
Mum Kate Greener, 30, went to 3D printing specialist Ben Folkes for help.
He designed a computer image of an arm, printing it in tiny layers to create a new one.
Mum-of-two Kate, of Stockport, said: “She could open her presents, play with toys properly and do things girls of six should be able to do.
“She even chose the arm’s colours.
“She absolutely loves it.”
Engineer Ben, 23, of Sheffield, said: “It was really cool to get involved in something like this, which is very different to the clips, brackets and components we’re often working on.”
