SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Chattanooga’s Connor Tolley has been named the Southern Conference wrestler of the week for all competition from Feb. 6-Feb. 12, the league office announced Wednesday.
Tolley went a perfect 2-0 overall, in the 285 pound weight class, on the week including 2-0 in both conference and dual action. He posted a 7-4 deicision with two takedowns in the third period against Campbell’s Ogerel Batkhishig to clinch a share of the Southern Conference regular season title for the Mocs. The win gave Chattanooga an 18-12 victory against the 25th ranked Camels. Earlier in the week, he posted a 6-1 decision win over The Citadel’s Michael McAleavey.
The Franklin, Indiana, native is 16-13 overall and 5-1 in SoCon matches on the season.
The Mocs head to Bloomington, Indiana, next weekend to compete against Indiana, for its last competition before the Southern Conference tournament in March.
