Tiger cubs which were born in July at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium now have their own names.

Zoo officials announced over the weekend in a Twitter post the cubs are named Mabelle, George and Tim.

Two of the cubs were born in the evening on July 12 and the third was born early July 13. A fourth cub was stillborn.

After being nurtured by their mother, the cubs made their public debut in October.

Zoo officials are excited by the cubs.

“It is an incredible experience watching the playful cubs interact with each other and their mother, and we are pleased to be able to share this opportunity with our guests as we continue our mission of connecting people to wildlife,” Columbus Zoo and Aquarium President and CEO Tom Stalf said in an October press release. “The cubs have been a wonderful addition ... but even more importantly, they represent hope for the future of this endangered species.”
