Try Not to Cry Looking at These Pictures From Women Being Sworn Into Congress Today
In last year's midterm elections, a record-setting 42 new women were elected to Congress. Today, they were sworn into office in a historical ceremony of the most diverse "freshman" class to ever take on Washington D.C. The best part? These women are really, really excited about it. Here are some of the sweetest things they posted on social media in honor of the big day.
Rashida Tlaib, Representative, Michigan 13
Rashida shared two pictures leading up to the swearing-in ceremony, one thanking her kids and one showing her new office on Capitol Hill.

Look who came with Mama to DC. They help me stay focused on what matters the most.

Her sons literally dabbed as she cast her first vote, which is iconic.

Kyrsten didn't post anything herself, but a reporter pointed out that she is the first openly bisexual senator in U.S. history.
