Here is something a little different to end the year! Read on to see a selection of highlights from 2017 - a year filled with conservation work, the launch of our new Cairngorms Wild Plants Project and many events showing people the wonders of Scotland's wild plants and fungi.

Celtic Rainforest Walk Leaflets
The Celtic Rainforest Project launched the final important plant areas (IPA) walk leaflet.  This completes the Celtic Rainforest set of four.  Plantlife Scotland has a set of nine walk leaflets which are available for download or paper copies are available on request.

Celtic Rainforest Kids

Fintry and Buchlyvie school pupils also achieved their John Muir Celtic Rainforest Discovery Award thanks to the Celtic Rainforest project.

National Plant Monitoring Scheme training days in Scotland have been a great success this year.

Lammermuir Hills

One of the largest Juniper surveys starts within the Hopes Estate, looking at the impact sheep are having on local juniper populations.

Marsh Saxifrage

One of Scotland’s rare wildflowers that Plantlife has an interest in is Marsh Saxifrage. Well, we would as we have a couple of hundred plants on our Munsary Peatlands reserve in Caithness. Davie Black went looking for them...

UHI training event

We were delighted to be able to lead another two Cairngorms Wild Plants training events (for Scottish Natural Heritage staff and University of Highlands and Islands Forestry students) this winter to promote conservation of Pinewood flora.  Making it four this year!
