About the author

A few years ago, I wrote my first book, Dire Warning. Readers loved it and I was on my way to chronicle the Blackwood Pack, seven brothers who are gay wolf shifters in search of their fated mates—stories about love at first sight with twists and turns, angst and humor, romance and adventure and, of course, happy endings. Since then, the pack has expanded, allowing more stories to be told and different paranormals to be included. The series has become, as one reader described it…an “Epic Saga.”
Now, eleven books later, Blood Prophecy, has just been published. I love the M/M paranormal genre because it gives my imagination a lot of territory in which to roam. My mind can really run wild and come up with some amazing stuff when it doesn’t have to stay inside the box. My story ideas come to me as if they were being channeled by my characters, all of whom I love (except for a few villains). They are eager to recount their lives, loves and adventures, and are not reluctant to let it all out when it comes to revealing steamy details. My writing style is free-wheeling and uninhibited and my readers tell me they love it that way; that it makes them feel like they’re right in on the action and a member of the Blackwood Pack.
I live in the Northeast and love the beautiful change of seasons, my husband, and our quirky calico cat, though not necessarily in that order. I read a lot (good for the mind) and love gardening (good for the soul). I’m always happy to hear from my readers and can be reached through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, MeWe, email, or my website www.maryrundle.com

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 September 2023I am coming back to leave a review after just finishing book 12 to say if you are unsure please read this series which has been excellent from start to finish. A well written storyline that i couldn't put down and I avidly looked forward to each following book. Though the paranormals were familiar species the concept of this story is so fresh and unique. An absolute must read series for MM pnr fans
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 February 2022I'm kind of new to this form of fantasy, but it is quite good. A timber wolf and a dire wolf become mates , both gay males and one becomes pregnant! Unusual scenario, most of the shifter tales I've read just have the participants become close partners. The technical aspects fascinate me, how one can get pregnant following anal intercourse and where can the babe grow from the egg. But then again it is a fantasy.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 July 2023This entire series has been excellent from start to end I can’t wait for more. I love the way Mary writes , the concept of this story is so good and even after 12 books it’s just a fresh and unputdownable. I binged this series, now I have to wait. An absolute must read series for shifter MM fans . Highly recommended
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 May 2020I’m invested in this family already. I love the fantasy aspects and the immediacy of the world building and ongoing plot line. However, it should have been half the length and contained way, way, way too much sex for the story to progress. It was breaking up the flow, it seemed overdone and in the end I had to keep skipping those chunks (and they are chunks), out to find out what was happening to the mc’s. The constant groping in front of anyone near was also distracting. I have read the whole series already and this is a return visit to these guys. The repetitive ‘adult’ portions of the story, do ease up as the story moves through each brothers books. Stick it out, it’s a good read.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 May 2024Lovely the story line in this series as we follow Jackson and his brothers on there journey
And find there fated mates with a twist
And we already have 13 books so far this is my second read of this series
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 September 2020I’ve given this four stars as I loved so much about it. The story is really good, writing is brilliant, characters are well developed and I loved the fated mates aspect. The only negative I have is I found it really hard to follow who was speaking. Sometimes I would have to go back and read whole pages or I would not figure out who was speaking and it took away some enjoyment for me. I love books with duel perspectives but this bounced to so many different characters it got slightly annoying at times. I still finished it. As it’s the authors first book I’m going to read the others. Plus I’m invested in knowing what happens so there’s a bonus. Hopefully the author slows down and focuses more on just 2 perspectives or at least labels who’s taking and when. I love the world of shifters and this was a good story. I’m not sure if I will read the whole series although I have downloaded the next one.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 November 2021I love this series Everyone who loves paranormal romances with some twists and intrigue should own this series It is seriously one of the best I’ve ever read and I can’t wait for the next book
I seriously want to ask Mary to write faster but Great stories take time and I have to be patient
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 March 2019I really enjoyed this book. The characters all have something to offer and i am looking forward to getting the know them better in the following books. Jackson and Steele were loving and hot. The brothers were damaged by their past and this affects them all. Looks like this will be a great series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great start to a new series
I am re-reading this series so I can now add my review. The story starts with Jackson waking up after being knocked out and robbed. He hoped someone would come by as he had no phone or money on him. Steele was driving back home and took a shortcut. He saw someone standing on the side of the road. His wolf was very excited to meet him and was wondering what was going on as he couldn’t scent him. Jackson realized right away they were mates but didn’t say anything with what was going on. This started the story of how Steel found out what Jackson and his brothers backstory was. This is the first book and they all must be read in order. I love the world building and looking forward to reading book 2.

5.0 out of 5 stars this was worth it!
I enjoyed everything about this read! Drama, Romance, and intrigue kept my mind wandering what was going to happen next. I can’t wait to read the next book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Feels like a 15-year-old wrote this
The sex-scenes are good, the ideas are there but the writing... ugh. It's rushed, it lacks worldbuilding, the characters are cliche. Would be interested in reading an edited version once the author has grown a bit though.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good story
Loved the storyline and characters but was hard to follow sometimes with the constant character POV changes from each paragraph. But then sometimes it’s nice to see the POV from the characters that aren’t the main characters. Overall love the story and can’t wait to find out what happens along the way.
