Boy, 10, easily unlocks his mum's iPhone X by fooling Face ID | The Sun

A MUM has revealed her 10-year-old SON is able to bypass the Face ID lock on her new Apple X.

Sana Sherwani, from New York, demonstrated the glitch in a YouTube video alongside her son Ammar.

It shows her locking the phone then passing it over to Ammar, who is able to access it with a simple glance.

Her partner Attaullah Malik wrote: "We are seeing a flood of videos on YouTube from iPhone users who have gotten their hands on the new iPhone X and are trying to trick the Face ID.

"When my wife and I received our iPhone X, we had no such intention.

"However, things changed right after we were done setting up our new iPhones on November 3rd.

"We were sitting down in our bedroom and were just done setting up the Face IDs, our 10-year-old son walked in anxious to get his hands on the new iPhone X.

"Right away my wife declared that he was not going to access her phone.

"Acting exactly as a kid would do when asked to not do something, he picked up her phone and with just a glance got right in."

The security software has already been subjected to several hacks.

Earlier this week we told you how security experts based in Singapore used a 3D scanner to re-create the owners face at a cost of £115.

In a clip posted to YouTube, a researcher at Bkav can be seen holding his iPhone X in front of the model of his face and successfully unlocking it.
