Gary Player and Thomas Bjorn lead tributes to legend Tommy Horton

Gary Player and European Ryder Cup captain Thomas Bjorn are among the golfing greats to have paid their tributes to Tommy Horton, who passed away this week aged 76.

The two-time Ryder Cup player was rushed to hospital after being taken ill when attending the Annual General Meeting at the Royal Jersey Golf Club on Thursday.

News on European Senior Tour legend Tommy Horton's passing, aged 76.

Horton won 42 professional titles in his career, including four on the European Tour in the 1970s, as well as topping the European Senior Tour Order of Merit five times in seven seasons from 1993.

The 23-time Senior Tour winner, who was awarded a MBE for services to golf in 2000, has been widely recognition for his contribution to the game as both a player and coach.
