Man suspected of breaking into NC elementary, staying overnight

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Detectives with the Columbus County Sheriff's Office are asking the public to help identify a man who allegedly broke into an elementary school and made himself at home.

According to a spokesperson for the sheriff's office, the suspect broke into Evergreen Elementary on Saturday, June 23 and stayed until the following day.

The suspect slept, ate a bag of food, and then called a cab which took him to the Chester Street area of Myrtle Beach, SC. The man also skipped on paying his cab fare, according to the spokesperson.
