RSP Boiler Room No.35: RB Nick Chubb, Manipulation & Burst

Nick Chubb Cassie Wright

The first of three Boiler Room episodes scheduled on Chubb, Waldman begins with the RB’s skill to make the most of blocking schemes.

I still have a lot of backs to watch for the 2017 NFL Draft. I’ve studied multiple games of next year’s potential headliners: Dalvin Cook, Wayne Gallman, Samaje Perine, James Conner, Christian McCaffery, and Leonard Fournette.

If I had to choose one, a healthy Nick Chubb is near, if not already at, the top of the list. He’s agile, scheme versatile, runs with excellent balance and maturity, and he breaks multiple tackles. Stylistically, think of a 220-pound Ray Rice in his prime and you’ll find parallels between the two as runners.
