Initially, she provided environmental and regulatory counsel for large mining, energy, and industrial companies. That’s where she realized how economic development and environmental respect can work together as pillars of sustainable development.
“My goal has always been to bridge legal security with socio-environmental responsibility,” she says, “ensuring businesses grow responsibly and meet regulations while driving long-term sustainability.”
She has worked with NFE since 2021 and currently serves as Regulatory Manager, monitoring developing projects in Barcarena in Pará, Brazil. She and her team obtain and manage licensing and authorizations to enable the installation and operation of projects including the region’s first natural gas terminal and two thermal power plants in the port of Vila do Conde.
Born and raised in Pará, Camila finds special meaning in supporting projects that positively impact her home region. Inspired by her own mother’s perseverance, she embraces challenges with a calm, ethical, and focused approach.
“I am proud to support the installation and operation of projects that are introducing natural gas to diversify the energy matrix here,” she says, “reducing carbon emissions generated by large industries.”
