NEARLY 2,000 homes have been affected by a power cut in Nailsworth today, some for more than four hours.
Electricity first went out at 2.36pm, affecting 1,936 customers in the Forest Green area.
Supplies were restored within minutes for around 1,100 of those affected by this initial cut.
However, at 3.20pm the connection failure re-occurred, affecting around 1,100 householders.
All supplies were eventually restored using a generator by around 8pm, while engineers from Western Power Distribution investigate the fault further.
A spokesman from the electricity distributors apologised for the inconvenience to customers.
