Downtown is delighted to welcome Microsoft to This is tomorrow calling, and look forward to their contribution in what promises to be a ground-breaking conference for Lancashire’s digital and business community.

We will be announcing further contributors in our next #TITC update.

DEVOLANCS - What Next?

Date: Thursday 27th August 2015
Time: 8:30 - 10:30

At the recently held Lancashire Business Awards, Downtown chief executive Frank McKenna called on the private sector to encourage local authority leaders to get behind chancellor George Osborne’s Northern Powerhouse initiative and establish a Combined Authority governance model, which could potentially see Lancashire take control of a range of resources and powers around policy areas such as transport, planning, skills, economic development and business support.

Downtown in Business will be hosting a special event on Thursday 27th August at The Macdonald Tickled Trout Hotel to offer business leaders in Lancashire the opportunity of having their say on the issue of devolved powers and a Combined Authority for the county.
