Gridcraft, a Boulder startup that is developing a cloud-based technology to help companies analyze large data sets using a spreadsheet-like interface, secured $2.2 million in a seed funding round led by Boulder’s Bullet Time Ventures, company officials announced Wednesday morning.

The round, the company’s first venture financing, will help Gridcraft meet its planned fall commercial launch of the technology, said Lisa Reeves, Gridcraft’s chief executive officer.

Prior to now, Gridcraft’s product has been in beta testing. Reeves said. The nine-person firm plans to launch a commercial version of the Gridcraft program in the early fall, she added.

“We’re definitely on track and look forward to bringing in some revenue,” she said.
