Sqwiggle now lets you use your iPad as a ‘second screen’ for always-on team video chats

Sqwiggle, a platform for helping remote teams work together more efficiently by utilizing always-on group video chat, has just launched its first iPad app, building on its established Web and Mac apps.

Soft-launched a few days back, the iPad app has been designed to work in tandem with the desktop app. So when you open it, all the potential video streams move across to the iPad, but all the text chat stays on the desktop. Closing the app automatically moves any conversations back to the desktop.

Just like the desktop, the iPad app will also show still images of each team member, so you know they’re available. And unlike with traditional video calling, there’s no calling at all, you’re just passively connected to each team member until you’re ready to talk.
