Summer is over and it’s that blissful time of year when our little darlings finally return to school. Fortunately this is an area with a good choice of schooling facilities that caters to many different needs, with a wide range of international and Spanish schools dotted up and down the coast from Elviria in the east to Sotogrande in the west. It is a very important task to find the perfect school for your child, so we’ve selected some of the top ones in Marbella and the surrounding areas to help you in your choice.

Calpe School is an international college based in San Pedro Alcántara that follows both the British National Curriculum and the Spanish Curriculum. Covering mathematics, literacy, ITC, Spanish, physical education and the arts, Calpe has a well-respected and established approach that encourages students to learn and grow. www.calpeschool.com

Juan Hoffmann, most commonly known as ‘The German School’, is widely regarded as one of the best international schools on the Costa del Sol. Located in La Mairena, behind Elviria, Hoffmann follows the German curriculum and is a favourite with German expats on the coast. Svenska Skolen Marbella, or ‘The Swedish School’ is located just off the Golden Mile, between Marbella and Puerto Banús.
