Why this petition matters

Please sign this petition supporting our plea against this VIOLENT ACT. We highly encourage you to read the entire petition and contact the SPONSORS with the letter provided below. Thank you All.

As per the mayor of Sochi himself, Anatoly Pakhomov, during his latest speech on preparations for the Olympic games, he encouraged the city to take action against all the homeless animals by exterminating them. Not only does he think it is OK to involve the people in this MASSACRE, he applause their enthusiasm by rewarding them with 800 roobles for EACH DEAD STRAY. All this is in the name of the Olympics taking place in his city. It is mind blowing that someone would encourage people to KILL and reward them for it.  We strongly believe that there are other methods, less primitive and less barbaric, to take care of the stray population, such as spay/neuter clinics and homeless shelters.

FOR ALL THOSE WHO LIVE IN SOCHI AREA, WE BEG YOU TO take measures into your own hands and save a few lives by providing shelter to the homeless animals in your area.

We encourage you all to email the decision makers yourselves by copying and pasting this petition (the copy of the petition is located all the way at the bottom of the page). Emails are provided below:

Dear Sponsor of Winter Olympics 2014,

It has come to our attention that you will be participating in sponsoring this event, however, there are a few things you should know:

As per the mayor of Sochi himself, Anatoly Pakhomov, during his latest speech on preparations for the Olympic games, he encouraged the city to take action against all the homeless animals by exterminating them. Not only does he think it is OK to involve the people in this MASSACRE, he applause their enthusiasm by rewarding them with 800 roobles for EACH DEAD STRAY. All this is in the name of the Olympics taking place in his city. It is mind blowing that someone with such authority would encourage people to KILL and reward them for it.

We strongly believe that there are other methods, less primitive and less barbaric, to take care of the stray population, such as spay/neuter clinics and homeless shelters. If the government of Sochi is willing to pay 800 roobles for every dead stray It would only make sense that they are fully capable of opening a shelter and a sterilization clinic.

Now, we all know that companies value their image and the image of their products as it translates into profits. Being involved in such a massacre surely would damage that image for ANY COMPANY, regardless of how big or small. The petition that has been started to Boycott this DESPICABLE CRUELTY is worldwide. We will not allow such UNTHINKABLE acts of violence to go unpunished.

We highly encourage you to rethink your position on sponsoring this event which would ultimately be viewed as providing full support for this MASSACRE to take place.

Thank you

STAND UP FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN...all the great changes took place because ONE PERSON had the guts to SPEAK UP... be that person...
THANK YOU
