Following in the footsteps of Google+, Facebook has implemented the feature that allows its users to edit their comments after posting them. Praise the Seven Gods of the Internet.

Facebook began rolling out editable comments to its users Thursday night. Just in time to fix those awkward late-night weekend comments. You know the ones we're talking about.

The user-requested feature can be activated by hovering over the upper right-hand corner of a comment. A pencil will appear with a contextual menu. Click "Edit," and you're one step closer to fixing that incorrect use of "there."

While posted comments are now editable, status updates are not. Hopefully, that's next on the social network's to-do list.

Google+ has had editable comments and status updates since launch.
