Support Wyoming's CDCs
Dear Parents, Physicians and Community Leaders:

We need your help. Wyoming's Child Development Centers (CDCs) have been serving the children and families of WY with essential early intervention services including speech, physical and occupational therapies, cognitive and social/emotional skills, and preschool services for ages birth through five successfully for over 50 years. Each year, expert staff of CDCs are proud to serve over 3,600+ children of all abilities statewide with an array of beneficial services. Parent surveys and our kids' documented progress is proven by receiving such services early on in life. The children and families who need and depend on these services may lose them entirely through state cuts.

During the recent budget cuts announced by the Governor, the CDCs received a 22% cut in funding from the Department of Health; the most cuts that any one program received, which directly impacts the infant children we serve. Not only is the 22% cut in funding a huge concern for CDCs and the viability of our programs, we are further concerned regarding the second round of cuts that the Governor will be determining in the fall.

We're asking for your support to show our state how important the Child Development Center programs are for the children of Wyoming. If your CDC has made an impact on your child's life specifically or you recognize the impact the CDC has on the children of your community, please add your name and address in support of our programs. We respectfully invite you to write a brief note on how the CDCs have impacted your child or a child you know. Thank you in advance for this time sensitive request.
