Review:

The Black Fox by Gordon Bickerstaff is not my first read from this author and certainly won’t be my last. I love his writing. The Black Fox was quite the thrill ride. The twists and turns had me holding my breath, fearing the characters wouldn’t make it through. This was a one-sitting read for me, and I just love when books hold my attention like that.

The pacing is non-stop. I really enjoyed the action sequences as well. Very impressive. I really enjoyed the characters as well. They were well writing, thoroughly fleshed out, and felt real. I cared about their safety.

The Black Fox is a superb novel. I didn’t have to think long about the rating for these. Easy five stars. I highly recommend giving it a read!

5/5☆

I was born and brought up in Glasgow, Scotland. I studied biochemistry, and I’ve worked in several Scottish universities where I did research on enzymes, and taught biochemistry. After thirty years of teaching and research I retired my academic pen, and took of a mightier fiction pen.

I live in central Scotland with my wife and we enjoy reading, writing, and walking in the hills.

The Lambeth Group books follow the secret government investigations of agent Zoe Tampsin. A strong female protagonist with courage, determination, and guile. She is assisted by specialist consultant, Gavin Shawlens.
