Inauguration of the Exhibition Portraits of Survivors of Nazism and the Shoah" Photographs by Aaron Sosa

Inauguration: Monday, May 9 at 6:00 pm.

Location: “Comunidades" Hall of the Museum of Migration MUMI

The exhibition "Portraits of Survivors of Nazism and the Shoah in Uruguay 2020" was inaugurated last Monday, May 9 at the Museum of Migration MUMI.

The event was attended by more than 100 people and 7 of the 21 survivors who were portrayed were also present. It was a very emotional and historic event.

The exhibition will be open to the public until July 9, 2022.

We invite you to see the eyes of those who lived through it.

It is an opportunity to be sensitized, to understand, to delve into the heart of the experiences of the survivors.

To get closer to their portraits, their life stories and testimonies.

To listen to their voices and the sounds that accompanied them.

To talk to some of them, to homeaneer them, to learn.

You will be able to feel the history.

And celebrate life with an artistic representation.

This exhibition has recently been declared of ministerial interest by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay.
