Most players have niggles and pains, nobody in the second week is 100% healthy. But only Djokovic can say how his body is, he knows whether he can play on or not.

It is the right decision. Murray and Djokovic were dominant last year but they are nowhere near that level now. It is a gruelling schedule and everybody else will put that extra 10% in to beat you.

At the post-match news conference, Novak Djokovic said: "It is not the shoulder, it is the elbow that keeps bothering me for over a year and a half.

"It is unfortunate that I had to finish Wimbledon Grand Slam in this way. If someone feels bad it is me.

"I tried. From yesterday I tried to get it in the condition where I could play.

"I could play with pain that was bearable for 30 minutes, but the serve and the forehand were shots where I could feel it the most and there was no sense (to continue)."

Seven time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer is through to the semi-finals after winning in straight sets.

Raonic was covering the line but Federer has managed to hit outside of the ball and bend it back on to the line. Pure genius.

Ridiculous. Just ridiculous. Federer lands a backhand in the most beautiful style, bending it back onto the line with ease.

Long on the return, though, and that breaks Federer's streak of five consecutive points.

Federer comes right up to the net and fires past his opponent with wicked speed to level the tie-break.

Federer gets on the point with a lovely forehand, picking up Raonic's low shot and smacking it back over, and Raonic nets his return.

And again! That's a stunner, going out wide to the serve and hammering a winner past Raonic.
