Improving Human Biofield Knowledge Will Bring A New Wave Of Global Wellness (Hopefully)!

There are many terms originating from a variety of cultures that regard the human being as having a core of energy, terms such as chi, prana or lifeforce. Yet these terms generally remain unaccepted by traditional mainstream science to date. In spite of this lack of scientific support a growing segment of the population purport that bettering this core body energy powerfully affects things such as mental and emotional states, which are interrelated to healing, wellness and self improvement. These results are accomplished through various modalities typically falling under the category of ‘energy medicine’. This includes techniques such as acupuncture, reiki, sound healing and many others that have proven successful for a diverse range of health implications. Piles of scientific data have not been necessary for what practitioners have ascertained through experience. All things considered, however, most involved in this field would probably agree much more could be learned about the influence energy has on our collective wellbeing. Not for validation, believers already have that, but for the benefit this knowledge could have on an even broader range of humanity. This is where scientific scrutiny could prove a very valuable partner and means by which to advance and expand the knowledge of human energetic properties.

We have come to a point where the benefits of energy medicine are taking root in modern society without large scale scientific acceptance. This is most likely due to the fact that many of us involved in the field have seen it create powerful transformations firsthand in countless situations and this knowledge continues to spread. Whether you call it chi, lifeforce or prana is insignificant to what we know about how energy medicine can improve peoples lives drastically. These concepts have often times been labeled as woo woo pseudoscience yet by different names and descriptions are seen throughout mainstream medical terminology. The medical world has already established that the human body has an inherent frequency and measurable electric output among other energetic qualities. Even though relatively new to the medical world the medical term ‘biofield’ actually represents these ancient concepts of lifeforce, chi, prana and other subtle energies considered to comprise the human being’s energetic makeup and appears to be acceptable to mainstream science.

This term biofield may represent a significant merge between the knowledge of ancient eastern and modern western medicine. It represents a rare ideological overlapping between ‘alternative’ energy medicine and traditional science. So one that both sides could contribute to with testing, research and funds. This could greatly increase understanding of how human energy operates and controls the health of the individual which could have massive positive social health impacts and create huge medical cost reductions.

Besides having an energetic output the core energy of the biofield also acts as an information superhighway by which the body communicates with itself. This is possibly its most crucial function because of the complex nature of the systems and processes that are taking place within our bodies at every minute of everyday. It guides operations of both conscious and sub conscious aspects of the being that represent the status of the being, like a constant interpreter sending and receiving signals from both internal and external queues. Through this system of communication the energetic field of the body seeks to move itself to homeostasis which would be considered total wellness and perfect health. (source: https://www.chi.is/)

The biofield typically falls short of being able to create homeostasis in individuals for a number of reasons, however, that are not always clear at this time. Finding out more through scientific rigor would have the potential of unlocking this energetic code of the human being which could have large scale implications on global wellness. Testing and research is needed to increase the knowledge and to spawn development of more tools for enhancing and optimizing the biofield. As mentioned, many techniques are already being used with great success in modern holistic health practices such as yoga, energy healing, acupuncture and meditation that intend to improve the human biofield. These are ancient forms of practice, however, and much more precise detail could be understood about how the biofield responds to these techniques through more modern large scale research and testing.

So in a time when technology investments are seeing trillion dollar growth expectations for things such as robots and driverless cars. This technological revolution should include human health and wellness as well. At the end of the day we all know that health is the most important aspect of life. Very few people would consider themselves healthy if they weren’t feeling positive both mentally and emotionally and this is a product of our biofield, our energetic code if you will.

Unfortunately, addressing one’s energetic makeup in human healthcare has been somewhat lost on the modern western style of medicine that would be considered more of a treat the symptom with drugs and pharmaceuticals and not the root of the problem approach. So rather than see the medical world and its investor dollars being used solely for funding more and more pharmaceuticals it would be nice to see more financial focus on making the person well so that the pharmaceutical is not necessary. Advancing biofield technology would include improvements in non-pharmaceutical sectors such as energy medicine modalities, electroceuticals, energetic body mapping and devices. The market for advancing biofield technology is ripe and has potential for massive profits as an emerging market. No doubt advancing knowledge of the human energy system could be a lucrative and impactful frontier. So what will be the disruptive wellness technology in energy medicine?
