The Greer Police Department will be hosting the 6th Annual Upstate SC Law Enforcement Memorial Softball Tournament on Aug. 26-27 at Century Park.
Public Safety agencies from the upstate will compete in the tournament to honor law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. All money raised goes to support the families of fallen officers in the Upstate.
The Greer PD has donated more than $16,000 to fallen officers’ families in the upstate over the past five years.
Due to the loss of three law enforcement officers, this fund has been nearly depleted.
The Greer PD is seeking raffle prize and monetary donations to support the non-profit fund.
