Samsung today sent invitations to the media for a press event where the Korean tech giant will unveil the latest member to the Galaxy family of mobile devices, which we believe it's the rumored Galaxy Note 8.

While Samsung did not reveal the name of the device that it wants to unveil on August 23, 2017, they did say it will be the ultimate multitasking device for those who want to do bigger things with their phone. So if it's a phone, and it's bigger, it must be the Galaxy Note 8.

"This highly anticipated addition to the Galaxy roster was specifically designed for people who move through barriers to do more of what matters to them," said Samsung in the press invite. "To mark the launch of the upcoming device, the company is hosting the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked celebration on August 23, 2017."

Galaxy Note 8 expected to feature a 6.3-inch display, better hardware

There are no technical details available for Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note 8 phablet, but it is expected to feature a 6.3-inch display and much better hardware than its little sisters, the Galaxy S8 and S8+, otherwise, Galaxy S8+ owners will find no reason to upgrade their smartphones, which already features a large 6.2-inch screen.

On thing is for sure, Galaxy Note 8 is powered by Google's latest Android 7.0 (Nougat) OS, and judging by the graphics of the press invite, we also know that Samsung's Galaxy Note 8 device will come with an S-Pen stylus, that was already rumored to be much better than those used in Galaxy Note 7, and that will also support translation functions,

Dubbed "Do Bigger Things," the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2017 event will open its doors to the media on August 23, at 10 a.m. EST (2 p.m. GMT), at Park Avenue Armory in New York City, US, but it will officially kick off an hour later, at  11 a.m. EST (3 p.m. GMT). Samsung will live stream the entire event on www.samsung.com, www.samsungmobilepress.com, and http://news.samsung.com.
