CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Cincinnati is ranked the sixth best city in the U.S. for recreation, according to a WalletHub study.

WalletHub's analysts compared the 100 largest U.S. cities and ranked each city on entertainment and recreational facilities, costs, quality of parks and climate and then identified 44 key indicators.

Here are some of the key indicators that gave Cincinnati its high ranking:

  • 4th – Swimming Pools per Capita
  • 9th – Park Playgrounds per Capita
  • 10th – Spending on Parks per Capita
  • 13th – Music Venues per Capita
  • 14th – Bike Rental Facilities per Capita

This ranking comes two years after WalletHub ranked Cincinnati as the number one city for recreation.

While the city rose in categories like bike rental facilities, the city's rankings fell significantly in the number of music venues per capita and the amount of spending on parks.
