Lexington, Ky. - US Equestrian has named the following combinations as nominated entries for the 2017 FEI World Driving Championships for Ponies, August 15-20, in Minden-Kutenhausen, Germany:

Pair Pony

Katie Whaley (Paris, Ky.) with her own Tommy, a 2003 Welsh Cross gelding, and Tanner, a 2006 Welsh Cross gelding, and Barbara Sims’s Night Flyer, a 2000 Welsh Section C gelding

Single Pony

Leslie Berndl (Newcastle, Calif.) with Teressa Kandianis’s Sweetwater’s Zorah Belle, a 2004 Norwegian Fjord mare

Note: FEI rules permit the U.S. to submit two entries per class. US Equestrian has requested that the organizers allow the U.S. to enter another individual in the single pony championship in hopes all U.S. nominated entries may compete in the championship.
