Afternoon tea

Afternoon tea is becoming an increasingly popular treat all over the country.

You’d have a hard time finding a street in Dublin with a hotel or cafe that doesn’t offer customers the full afternoon tea experience.

Generally, they’ll include the usual treats like cakes, teas, and mini sandwiches. But if you’re looking for something a bit different, this Dublin hotel has got you covered.

Mad Hatter

The Morgan hotel in Temple Bar are hosting four types of Mad Hatter tea parties to help us all escape from the monotony of everyday life.

Mysterious, stylish, and sure to pump out some bangin’ tunes, these tea parties sound like the ideal treat for any Alice in Wonderland fan. Or anybody who just wants an excuse to drink beer and prosecco during the day.

The four kinds of tea parties range from afternoon tea with a glass of prosecco or a craft beer, to a delicious spread including a famous “Mad Morgan bubbles.”

There’s even a non-alcoholic tea party available if you’ve over done it the night before.

Each tea party includes a selection of sweets, treats, and sandwiches that are sure to keep everyone satisfied.

There’s mini macaroons, scones, “bonker brioche,” egg mayonnaise sandwiches, and even a “secret smoked sandwich” on delectable Guinness bread.

Bookings for the tea parties start €21 per person, and can be made by contacting the Morgan Bar here.
