Dad-of-two, 28, ‘has orange juice thrown over him and his car after confronting childless couple who had parked in Tesco mother and baby space’

Jon Corps, 28, has branded his alleged attacker the 'orange juice bandit'

A DAD-of-two has claimed a childless couple who parked in a Tesco mum and baby spot threw orange juice over him and his car after he confronted them.

Jon Corps, 28, said a man, who he has dubbed the "orange juice bandit", launched a vile tirade before going into his boot and getting the cartons of juice.

Gas engineer Jon had been in his car with his sleeping children while his fiancée shopped at Tesco Extra in Portsmouth, Hampshire, when he spotted the car.

He said: "I was sat there and this man pulled up next to me and got out with one woman, leaving another woman in the car.

"Normally I don't say anything and regret it afterwards because that space is there for a reason.

"I politely knocked on the door and asked if the woman had a child. The woman replied that she hadn't and 10 minutes later, the man and other lady came down and they started shouting in my face saying I couldn't touch private property.

"The man shouted 'you can't threaten my girlfriend. I'll smash you and your car to pieces.'

"This shouting went on for 20 minutes then he went into his boot, got cartons of orange juice and chucked it over me."

Jon and fiancée Kate have shared photos of the alleged culprit with a juice carton in his hand in the hope of identifying him.

The dad said he would continue to confront those breaching parking rules despite the alleged tirade.

Jon said: "The woman who I approached first just turned around and said 'why do you care? You've already got a space', but that's not the point.

"It could mean the world to someone who hasn't slept for days or a mum who has worked all week.

"I went into Tesco and they just said they'd put a note on it, but that's not good enough because people keep getting away with it.

"I'm tempted to follow [anyone who parks wrongly in those bays] around with a sign reading 'you're a d******d' or let my screaming kids chase them around."

"A man was involved in a dispute with a group of people in the car park at Tesco Extra on Fratton Way, Portsmouth.

"During the dispute, orange juice was thrown over the man."

A Tesco spokesman said: "We are aware of this incident and would be happy to assist police with their enquiries."
