After Lorde’s groundbreaking debut effort, 2013’s “Pure Heroine,” rewrote the rules of pop music, the talented artist recently returned with its follow-up “Melodrama,” which includes lead single “Green Light” and current hit “Perfect Places.” Now the New Zealand native has announced a spring tour that includes her only Ohio date March 31 at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus. Tickets are $39.50 to $99.50, and are now on sale at all Ticketmaster locations. 
 
Known for his hit sitcom “Home Improvement,” actor Tim Allen got his start in standup comedy. Now the funnyman is returning to his roots with a summer tour that includes an Aug. 19 show at the Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park. Tickets are $75 to $99.50.
 
A quarter-century has passed since Billy Ray Cyrus arrived on the country scene with his line-dance anthem “Achy Breaky Heart.” Miley’s dad is celebrating the anniversary with a new tour that comes through Northeast Ohio with a Sept. 9 show at the Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park. Tickets are $33.50 to $59.50.
 
If you listen to classic rock, odds are you’ll hear plenty of Doobie Brothers. The Grammy Award-winning band, which scored No. 1 singles “Black Water” and “What a Fool Believes,” will be hitting the road this fall with a Sept. 22 show scheduled at the Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park. It’ll be a celebration of women in rock when Straight On – Heart Tribute Band along with Invincible (Tribute to Pat Benatar) perform Aug. 11 at the House of Blues. Tickets are $12. 
 
In the early ‘90s, The Mavericks were viewed as an innovative country act. Today, the band keeps touring its catalog, which now includes new album “Brand New Day.” The outfit is scheduled to play Sept. 10 at the House of Blues. Tickets are $35. 
 
Taking Back Sunday’s John Nolan has announced an after-show DJ Set in the House of Blues’ Foundation Room. Tickets for the Aug. 15 gig are $10. This event is ticketed separately from the Taking Back Sunday show earlier in the evening. Tickets to these House of Blues shows are now on sale at all Ticketmaster locations. 
  
Queens of the Stone Age recently announced its new album “Villains” will be released later this summer. Now Josh Homme and company have booked a summer tour that includes an Aug. 15 show at the Agora Theatre. Opening is Royal Blood. Tickets are $45, and are now on sale at Ticketweb.com.
 
Youssou N'Dour returned last year with new album “Africa Rekk,” which featured guest appearances by Akon, Fally Ipupa and Spotless. The world music artist is touring the states this summer with an Aug. 13 show at Columbus’ Newport Music Hall. Tickets are $55. 
 
Underrated southern rock act Drive-By Truckers returned last year with its 11th studio effort “American Band,” which was heralded by critics as returning the band to its early roots. The outfit is touring the album this fall with a new tour that includes an Oct. 4 show at the Newport Music Hall. Tickets are $19.50. 
 
Hip-hop artist Andy Mineo is carving a niche with his unique sound that includes electronic sounds. The New York City artist, whose last studio effort was 2015’s “Uncomfortable,” comes to Central Ohio this fall for an Oct. 17 show at the Newport Music Hall. Opening are Social Club Misfits and Wordsplayed. Tickets are $19.50. Tickets to these Newport Music Hall shows are now on sale at all Ticketmaster locations. 
 
Hard rock act Halestorm is touring its new album “Reanimate.” The Lzzy Hale-led group has announced its only Northeast Ohio show for Oct. 3 at Akron’s Goodyear Theater. Tickets to see the Grammy Award-winning band are $35 to $49.50, and are now on sale at Ticketfly.com. 
 
Straight from Broadway where he starred in “Oh, Hello,” alongside Nick Kroll, John Mulaney is parlaying his recent notoriety into a winter tour. The comedian comes to the Rock Hall City for two shows (7 and 10 p.m.) Jan. 12 at Playhouse Square’s Connor Palace. Tickets are $25 to $35, and are on sale now at 216-241-6000 or playhousesquare.org.
