Petland Cemetery offers two primary pet cremation services.

Private Cremations; Your pet will be cremated separated from other pets and their remains will be returned to you in basic metal urn.

Group Cremations Your pet will be cremated with other pets and be interred in a group grave here at Petland Cemetery, their remains will not be returned to you.

FAQ

  • Can I bring my animal directly to Petland?

    Yes, during business hours. We do not require an appointment for household pets. If your pet is larger than 200 Lbs. Please call ahead so our staff can prepare to safetly accommodate your pet.

  • Is my pet too large or too small?

    Petland has helped animals from mice to elephants find a dignified final resting place, we can absolutely help.

  • How long does the cremation process take?

    We will call you directly when your pets remains are ready to be picked up. The process normally takes 2-3 business days.

  • When is payment due?

    Payment is due when your dropping your household pet off or when you pick them up.

  • May I bring an object to be cremated or buried with my pet?

    Yes unless the object is not safe to cremate or bury.

  • Can you euthanize my pet?

    No, we do not provide any euthanasia services. Please coordinate those with your veterinarian. 

  • Can you pickup my household pet up directly?

    No, we don’t perform household pet retrievals. You may be able to transfer your pet’s remains to your veterinarian so we can pick up your pet when we are in the area. Please contact your veterinarian first to see if they provide this service. It’s critically important to ask your Veterinarian which cremation provider they use, some choose to use other providers which has different standards of care and are not associated with Petland Cemetery.

  • I would like keepsake like a lock of hair or a paw print, what do you suggest?

    We highly suggest making your own paw prints or sheering the locks of hair from your pet at home or the vet to ensure your able to get result you want. The natural process of death can be messy, which is absolutely not the animal’s fault but it becomes rapidly more difficult to retrieve or make mementos as time passing. We always try to help but sometimes we’re unable to do so because of the natural processes. Petland charges $5.00 for a paper paw prints, we do not charge for paw prints if we’re unable to produce them. We do not offer clay impression paw prints.

  • What happens if my pet passes away outside of business hours?

    We suggest to keep your pet in safe cool place. As part of the natural death process your pet may leak some fluids at home or while you transport them to Petland Cemetery. Often people place their pets in plastic tubs, bags or blankets to mitigate some of this issue. The most important thing is respectively treat your pet’s body in way that you feel appropriate.
